All the Important Questions to ask!!!

 

 

The biggest mistake of a bride and groom is falling in love with the beauty of venue and sign a contract before considering the practical things.

Well what exactly is supposed to “practical”? Only choose a venue once you have decided on how many guests and the size of you budget. You will have these two things decided, you need to know if your ceremony and reception in the same place or if you want them at separate venues.

 

When the above things settles and you have a few wedding venues in mind that fit that budget and size, than its time to start asking questions!

 

Is there a payment schedule? What kinds of deposits are required?

 

Does the décor fit your style? Will you have to spendd a lot of money on flowers and decorations to make it beautiful?

 

Do you have a in-house caterer, & do you like the food? Do they have a limitation on which outside caterers you can use?

 

Do they have adequate coat check and bathroom facilitates?

 

Do they have a liquor license?

 

Will they allow you to bring your own liquor?

 

Does the wedding venue already have their own sound system with proper speakers or will it need to be rented?

 

Is there parking for the guests? Are there extra fees for parking? Valet parking?

 

Can you meet the supervisor who will be at the venue the day of the event?

 

Are candles or other open flames allowed?

 

Do they have enough chairs for the ceremony, or will they need to be rented?

 

·      If Reception & Wedding Ceremony at the same venue:

 

How long does it take the staff to change over the room? (from wedding ceremony to reception)

 

Does the wedding venue have an entirely separate area for the ceremony?

 

What options for chair and table covers do they have? Any upgrades?

 

Table settings and table covers included?

 

The price per person for dinner? Including alcohol and not.

 

Is there room in the wedding venue for a band and or dancing?

 

What are the overtime charges?
