Bridesmaid
Are you a bridesmaid?
The duties of bridesmaids are not as simple as helping picking a dress or finding the perfect flowers! It entails a lot of devotion, love, and support for the entire wedding experience. Whether it’s your first bridesmaids gig or 50th, here’s a cheat sheet of your to-do’s:
- Always be specific in what you would like to volunteer with. For example, say, “Would you like me to help you with your seating arrangements?” Instead of just, “What can I do?”
- Help plan, co-host and pay for the bridal shower & bachelorette party with other bridesmaids.
- Assist with choosing bridesmaids dresses, jewelry, shoes and wedding accessories.
- Break into the new shoes before the big day to avoid blisters and aching feet!
- Communicate information between other bridesmaids, guests and family members.
- Assist the guests to their seats and be social before the wedding. The guests love to see the bridesmaids and groomsmen out and socializing.
- Make sure to hit the dance floor when the music starts! When the bridal party fires up the dance floor, than guests are more willing to join in!
- Be a trooper, no matter how stressful this experience becomes, do your best not to complain to the bride – be elegant and tactful.
- Provide plenty of emotional support during the planning and on the big day.
- Takes a lot of pictures of every event: pre-wedding events, wedding day and reception.
- If your single, make sure to mingle and have a great time at the party!!
