The Best Man is the guy who stands beside you at the ceremony and just makes that embarrassing speech at the reception! Also make sure that your best man loves being in pictures, as it will be a day in the life of a celebrity.
Keep It in the Family:
A lot of Grooms pick a member of their family to stand beside them or a childhood friend. However, if your family is large and you have several brothers, cousins and friends than make sure that everyone plays a role in the wedding, since everyone can’t be your best man.
Before The Big Day…
As a best man there are several duties that come along:
Bachelor Party is one of the most important duties of a best man is that he is responsible for organizing the party. This is the final night of being “single.” A bachelor party can be simple as a good meal and a party or can be as big as a trip out of town.
I can become very costly, but it all depends on the grooms men and the best man.
They duty does not stop here either, he is also responsible for helping the bride and groom’s getting ready for the ceremony and reception.
Basically, do whatever they ask you!
The Day of…
It is the best man’s responsibility to make sure everything runs smoothly and on time and to be prepared if something does not go right! He also has to take care of bride and groom’s wedding rings.
He is also considered a witness to the vows and signs the marriage license.
The Last thing to do…
Is deliver a good speech! They can be funny, serious, sad and joyous. It should be heartfelt and brief and keep the main focus on the newlyweds.
After all these duties are completed the best man can back to a normal life!
